After you have your car a while and have done various tasks yourself you can then budget for the coming year and buy parts in advance and in quanities that will ensure a cheaper price and if there is a stock issue with the supplier you can live with that seeing it might be a few months before you will need it and when you do it is sitting on the shelf waiting. After you do this for a while you will also have a warm glow of achievement so when you are driving your pride and joy you can be all the more content in the fact that you did it yourself.
